IXF ActiveX Control is royalty-free. You may include copies of the OCX files with as many copies of as many applications you ship. If you work with other developers, you may be interested in Kadmos's site licenses. Contact us for details.

To distribute your applications, you will probably need to create a set up utility. This utility will take care of detecting the files your application needs to run (EXEs, DLLs, OCXs, and others), compressing these files and later copying them to the user's computer, and also dealing with details such as potential version conflicts, component registration, etc. We recommend you use the Set Up Wizard that ships with Microsoft Visual Basic or a professional program such as InstallShield.

Our distribution policy is almost as innovative as the controls. We want every programmer to get copies of our products and try them for as long as they want.

Those who like the tool and find it useful (almost everybody, we hope) can buy licenses at reasonable prices. The only restriction is that unlicensed copies of the software will display a banner whenever they are loaded, as a friendly reminder that we do expect people to pay for the software if they use it and that data conversion is limited to 100 records.
